NOAFA Instructor Patti Adams will lead you through this eight week course with a wide variety of creative exercises and assignments to fill your beautiful sketchbook!

Daily journaling is a fun and compelling way for you to capture the world around you. It can be a record of your daily thoughts, a travel or dream journal, a collection of to do lists or meaningful quotations from favorite authors or poets. You can record likenesses of people, pets and the daily places you frequent. Drawing and painting in a daily journal can be a precious visual journal of your life and what is important to you. The sources of inspiration are endless. The best part: there are no mistakes to be made and countless imaginative ways to create your journal. And using watercolor makes for quick, colorful sketches and fabulous happy accidents on your pages. 

Supply Fee: $35

Each participant will be supplied with a Watercolor Sketchbook with over 30 pages of cold pressed, 100% cotton, acid-free watercolor paper. 

For you to bring:

1) A small, portable Windsor Newton Cotman watercolor set or whatever travel set of colors you prefer. (You can also use watercolor pencils, colored pencils or markers.) 

2) A waterproof black ink pen such as a fine Sharpie or Pigma Micron pen, size 01, 03 and/or 05. Also available in additional colors: sepia, red and blue.

3) Mechanical pencil (something that doesn't need sharpening) - 2B, HB or 2H

4) A variety of watercolor travel brushes or simply one large Niji waterbrush - This is a terrific travel brush - you just fill it with water and you're ready to paint. Squeeze the water into your pans and start painting - squeeze again to clean the brush!
