Instructor: Jean Cassels / 8 Weeks / Jun 4-July 30 (No class July 2) / Tuesday / 9:00AM-12:00PM
Class size: 4-6
This course is the direct continuation of my Beginning Drawing course. To brush up our skills we will initially work again with the basic shapes of nature such as the sphere, column, cube, and cone. We will be working with value on form, cast shadows, negative space, the intervals between objects, and composition. We will continue to work on our line quality.
We will always be thinking about composition, balance, negative space, perspective, self-expression, and the emotional quality of a drawing.
There will be homework that is a continuation of our class work.
All work in this class is done from life, based on the realist tradition, and never from photographs.
