Description: In Drawing and Painting for Littles the atmosphere is one of excitement and exploration where young artists embark on a journey of creativity and self-expression. The class begins with simple warm-up exercises to familiarize the children with their tools, such as crayons, markers, and brushes. They learn how to hold them properly and control their movements, laying the foundation for future artistic endeavors.
Each class will center around a theme to create a cohesive idea by the end of class.As the class progresses, children are introduced to basic drawing techniques, such as making lines, shapes, and patterns. They are encouraged to unleash their imagination and translate their ideas onto paper, fostering creativity in their abilities. Throughout the class, emphasis is placed on encouraging experimentation and embracing mistakes as part of the learning process. Children are praised for their efforts and encouraged to express themselves freely, building their confidence and love for art.
Please have your child bring their own water bottle. Art clothes and snacks are welcome.
Supplies: All art supplies will be provided.

*Youth classes have been designed by age to be as pedagogically appropriate as possible, but the Academy recognizes that there are special situations where students are advanced for their age.
