Instructor: Nicole Charbonnet / 13 Weeks / Jan 17 - May 1 (No class Feb 7 & 14, Apr 3) / Wednesday / 6:00PM-9:00PM
Class Size: 1-2
Collaboration is a class that offers a deep dive into working with another artist on a work of art or a series of works.
Collaboration, with it’s hands on approach, provides a different kind of feedback to your work than verbal commentary/critique alone, as it offers students an opportunity to assimilate information in a more visual and kinesthetic way (as opposed to auditory).
Think of Basquiat and Warhol and how their collaborations brought out the best of both artists. Collaborating with another artist is a way to open up and expand your own practice both physically through exploring new materials, techniques or processes, and conceptually through incorporating new ideas, goals and organizing structures.
This class is limited to 2 people per semester.
