Description:

This class is open to both beginners and intermediate level students in watercolor. The course will begin with an introduction to a range of watercolor techniques. Working from observation, we will explore various approaches to watercolor. The class will cover color mixing, methods of creating visual texture, watercolor washes and working with the unique qualities of this transparent media.

Supplies

• Brushes:
  • No. 12 round
  • No. 3 script
  • 1 inch flat
  • You can bring additional brushes you have however any brushes which have been used for oil painting should not be used for watercolor.
• Paints-Windsor and Newton Cotman watercolor set of 12 tubes
• Palette
• Paper 140-pound cold pressed watercolor block 10 X 14 inches
• Sponge
• Paper towels
• Pencils
• Erasers
• Painter’s tape
• 2 jars
