In this three-session workshop, you will be introduced to a beautiful element of personal expression - gilding with gold leaf.
You’ll learn a variety of techniques, including how to gild on hot press watercolor paper and gessoboard, using sheets of genuine gold leaf and 23K patent gold leaf (or transfer gold), as we explore the mysteries of the ancient art of gilding.
Prerequisite: None
Supplies: Rather than have you purchase a lot of expensive supplies and equipment, with the help of a $55 supply fee, ALL the gold leaf, sizes, and gilding papers will be provided to you. I will also have a variety of burnishers, embossing tools and ruling pens for you to try.
