Instructor: Jean Cassels / 8 Weeks / June 6 - August 01 (No class on July 4) / Tuesday / 9:00AM-12:00PM
Class Size: 5-6
This course is the first in a sequence of drawing classes and will focus on observational drawing of objects from life. Through a series of exercises students will become familiar with fundamental techniques necessary to translate three-dimensional forms and spaces to a two-dimensional surface. Special attention is paid to such essential aspects of drawing as relative proportion, linear perspective, value, and texture.
This class takes place in our 2nd floor drawing studio. You will be straddling a wooden drawing bench without back during class. We are able to make other accommodations if necessary: please contact us well in advance of the beginning of your class to discuss alternatives.
