Intro to Silkscreen is a 6-week course that immerses students in the screen-printing process from beginning to end. Students will have the knowledge to use this medium for commercial and fine art purposes. Fundamentals will be introduced in a creative and engaging manner that will include screen coating and prep, printing, and reclaiming screens.
Prerequisists: None
Supplies:
- Sketchbook
- Pencil, pen, sharpie
- Thumb Drive
- Painters tape
- 1 large sheet either acetate, mylar or duralar
- Apron
- Nitrile Gloves
REOCCURING SUPPLIES
- Printing Paper (I prefer Rives BFK but there are various choices)
- Newsprint
- Any fabric or flat surface you are interested in printing on
OTHER SUPPLIES IF NEEDED
- Jacquard SolarFast Film
*All other supplies and materials are included in tuition.
