We’ll be exploring a wide variety of painting materials and techniques while focusing on working together. Throughout the class, the students will be introduced to different painting materials, exploring the difference between tempera, acrylic, watercolor, and washable ink. Not only will we experiment with different paints, but each class we will also create one painting together. Classes will begin with students working on their own paintings in the first half of class, and then they will all work together on a painting for the last half of class. Throughout the weeks, each student will have their own masterpieces to take home, while collaborative pieces will remain in the classroom for a final cumulative display during the last class.
Supplies: All supplies needed for this course will be available when students arrive for their first class.

*Youth classes have been designed by age to be as pedagogically appropriate as possible, but the Academy recognizes that there are special situations where students are advanced for their age.
