Description:
This class is an introduction to various techniques used in watercolor. The course will begin with an introduction to basic watercolor techniques. Working from direct observation, we will explore a range of approaches to using watercolor. The class will cover color mixing, methods of creating visual texture, watercolor washes and working with the unique qualities of this transparent media.

Supplies
- Brushes:
- No. 12 round
- No. 3 script
- 1 inch flat
- You can bring additional brushes you have however any brushes which have been used for oil painting should not be used for watercolor.
- Paints-Windsor and Newton Cotman watercolor set of 20 tubes
- Palette
- Paper 140-pound cold pressed watercolor block 10 X 14 inches
- Sponge
- Paper towels
- Small sketch pad
- Pencils
- Erasers
- Painter’s tape
- 2 jars
