Description

Instructor: Chad Serhal / 6 Weeks / Oct 25 - Dec 6 (No class Nov 22) / Wednesday / 1:00PM-4:00PM
Class Size: 5-12

For each week the class will focus on an art movement in the first half of the Modern Era. We will talk about how it functions, how the movement breaks away from what was before, and how collage was a part of that. Discussions will center on three main artists within each era, and three main influences from previous eras. After examining many collages we will make a collage of our own using the designs, and concepts of that movement for each class.

List of Modern Art Movements we will discuss:
Cubism, Fauvism, Neo-Plasticism, Futurism, Dynamism, Constructivism, Dada, Surrealism, Theosophy along with previous movements as influences.
