Description: Expand your interest in the ceramic medium with our new 5-week ceramic mold making and slip casting class! This course is designed for students of all skill levels.  During this class students will learn the basics of mold making, a process used to create multiples of ceramic and non-ceramic objects which can range from traditional pottery vessels to figurines and more esoteric objects.  Students will learn how to create a 1- piece plaster mold, a 2-piece plaster mold and explore the process of ceramic casting. After demonstrations students will practice that day’s lesson while Reid offers one-on-one feedback and instruction to each student. Come explore and learn as Reid shares his passion and knowledge for the ceramic arts and guides students through the art of mold making. This class can be taken more than once and all are welcome to join the fun and get their hands dirty!
