Whether you already have an epic graphic novel in progress or you have never drawn a single panel before, the goal of this class is to help you make comics that tell the kind of story that you, and only you, can tell. Topics will include memorable character design, images that tell stories, dynamic figure drawing, panel and page composition, lettering, traditional inking techniques, and preparing your pages for publication, as well as discussions of some of the great comic artists and what we can learn from them.

Prerequisites: None

Supplies: All supplies are provided

Parents, please note your child's name and age in the order comment section when you pay for the class.

Parents, once you register for a Youth Class, we will email you a form to complete with additional information about your child. Please keep an eye out for this email 1-3 days after registering.

*Youth classes have been designed by age to be as pedagogically appropriate as possible, but the Academy recognizes that there are special situations where students are advanced for their age. Please inquire with the front office if you would like your child to be placed into a class that is not within their age range. Thank you.
