For this Winter Holiday Camp at NOAFA our young artists will embark on a colorful journey, exploring various art forms such as painting, drawing, collage, and crafts. Parallel to our fine art exploration we will dive deep into the world of mural art, discovering various techniques, styles, and materials used by renowned muralists such as Diego Rivera, Jose Orozco, and others. Instructors will guide students through the mural painting process, exploring each step, from discussion to design to application. Classes will also involve drawing and painting techniques, art history, collaborative group work, large scale rendering and figure drawing.
This camp is designed for students from ages 4 through 12. There will be 3 groups of 10 campers in ages 4-6,7-9,10-12. Local artisans and experienced youth arts educators make up our impressive faculty. Sign up now as space is limited!
Camp runs 9:00 am-3:30 pm Tuesday-Friday. Drop-off will be 9:00-9:15AM. There is no before or after-care. Snacks and drinks will be provided, but we ask each camper to bring their own lunch and water bottle daily.
